Blog 130 :: Made it Through Another Holiday Season.

Man, it’s all over. Finally.

The holidays can be a stressful time—even if you’re not heavily vested in them (like I wasn’t) this year. There’s just so much hustle and bustle, people get crazy(ier), crime gets worse, everyone’s on edge, it’s just a mess.

Despite all that, I went home, relaxed a bit, and ate a lot. Ha! Shout out to my Auntie Karen. This woman was on a marathon, as evidenced by the Christmas menu: turkey, ham, oyster stuffing, sausage dressing, candied yams, mashed potatoes, potato salad, collard greens, corn pudding, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, lemon cake, pound cake, banana pudding, sweet p0tato pie, and uuuh, yeah, I think that’s it. It was just illegal the amount of cooking this woman did. Our family definitely shows love through food, and well, she loves us a lot.

New Year’s this year was spent with the Wondafam in a splended mansion just north of town. I’ve never really talked about my love of homes and interior design, but now is as good a time as any, because this place was A-MA-ZING. Just in the very downstairs (I don’t want to call it a basement, because it was sooo much more than that), there was a full gym, full bar, TV room, wine cellar, 1 and 1/2 baths, and I’m guessing the other 3 doors that were closed were bedrooms…Whatever these people do for a living, I think I might want to make a career change. Seriously.

Anyway, thanks to Lord Disassembler for having us out. I’ll have to do a picture blog in a bit, cuz I don’t feel like getting out of bed right now to grab the camera (lol).

Hope you all had a safe and happy New Year. How’d you ring it in?
